Last month a teaser trailer for the film adaptation of The Lincoln Lawyer was released. Now we have the first poster for the film, depicting star Matthew McConnaughey as the Los Angeles criminal defense attorney Mickey Haller sitting atop his office -- a Lincoln Town Car.
Written by Michael Connelly in 2005, The Lincoln Lawyer introduces the character, who lands the case of his career: defending Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe), a Beverly Hills playboy accused of rape and attempted murder. But the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller.
The novel won the 2006 Macavity Award for Best Mystery Novel and the 2006 Shamus Award for Best P. I. Hardcover.
The film opens in theaters March 18th, 2011.
