Is Warner Bros. Interested in a Film Version of Veronica Mars?

Veronica Mars

Here's an interesting development: Six weeks or so ago, we reported that Kristen Bell -- Veronica Mars herself -- said she really, really wants a film adaptation of the television series in which she starred made. But Warner Bros., which owns the rights to Veronica Mars, has no interest in making such a film.

Or do they? A few days ago, someone from Warner Bros. tweeted that "film requests and petitions" should be sent to VeronicaMarsMovie@warnerbros.com. So it seems someone from the studio may be interested in a film, and looking to see what support is out there.

Veronica Mars aired for three seasons on The CW (formerly UPN). Set in the wealthy coastal community of Neptune, California, the titular character, a 17-year-old apprentice private investigator, set out to solve her town's toughest mysteries. The series is available on DVD from Telemystery: Veronica Mars.
