In other television news, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Southland co-star Kevin Alejandro is joining the cast of True Blood for its third season on HBO.
Alejandro will play Jesus, an orderly who is taking care of Ruby Jean Reynolds (Alfre Woodard) at her care facility, who becomes involved with her son Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis).
True Blood is based on the series of Southern Vampire mysteries by Charlaine Harris, and stars Anna Paquin as telepathic barmaid Sookie Stackhouse. The first season of True Blood is available on DVD. The third season, filming now, is expected to premiere in June.
Southland moves from NBC to TNT beginning January 12th.
