Last March we reported on the new series (season) of the period crime drama George Gently, with its four feature-length episodes expected to air in Summer (or at the latest Fall) 2013.
That didn't happen but there was no word from BBC One about when the crime drama would return.
Until today. Sort of.
In a press release, BBC One has confirmed that there will be four episodes in the season (which is listed as Series 7 in the UK but will be Season 6 here in the US), albeit with slightly different titles — "Green for Greencoat" has been renamed "Blue for Bluebird"; and "Gently from the Cold" has been renamed "Gently with Honour" — and airing in a different order. But there is still no return date. We're guessing Summer 2014, but then again, we guessed Summer 2013 last year and was proved wrong!
