Left Coast Crime Conference Opens Thursday, March 29th

Left Coast Crime (2012)

The Left Coast Crime 2012 conference — Mining for Murder — opens this Thursday, March 29th in Sacramento (California). This annual event is sponsored by mystery fans, where readers, writers, librarians and other mystery and thriller enthusiasts gather to share their mutual interest in the genre. Guests of honor this year are crime novelists John Lescroart and Jacqueline Winspear with special guest James Rollins. Mystery author and noted Hollywood actress Harley Jane Kozak will be the Toastmaster.

The first day consists of a Writers' Workshop for writers, published or not, interested in perfecting their craft. A welcome reception will be held later that evening.

Various panel discussions will be held on Friday through Sunday morning. (More details can be found on the official program grid.)

The winners of the annual "Lefty" awards will be announced at a banquet on Saturday evening. (Hopefully someone will be tweeting the results!)

Registration information can be found on the convention website, which also includes information on the hotel, transportation and parking.
