William H. Macy Cast in Film Adaptation of Freaky Deaky by Elmore Leonard

A year or so ago, we reported that Charlie Matthau was adapting the crime thriller Freaky Deaky by Elmore Leonard, and was also slated to direct.

Today, in a bit of casting news, Deadline is reporting that William H. Macy is committed to star in the film, playing the role of Woody Ricks, an alcoholic automobile scion, one of Detroit's richest citizens ... and the target of a pair of extortionists who use bombs as their weapon of choice.

Production was supposed to have begun earlier this year, but is now scheduled for early next year, with several key parts yet to be cast.
